MySpace Launches Developer Platform

MySpace, in a bid to widen the gap against rival Facebook, the world's largest online social network plans to launch a new program to court outside software developers.

Although few details were furnished ahead of MySpace's official launch of its platform, Kapur said the developer program would be rolled out globally in about 28 territories. "I will be focused on making a platform for developers to monetize and promote their applications," Kapur said in a phone interview.
