CEO of Motorola gets the boot
Motorola CEO Ed Zander will be stepping down from the helm after a rocky three year stint. This does not come as huge surprise given Motorola's lackluster performance in the mobile phone market over the last year. The Razr was great 3 years ago, but the uninspired follow-ups like the Krzr, Slvr, Rokr, Pebl, etc. have left much to be desired compared to the competition, especially in the naming department.
Zander's downfall can be summed up in seven words: lack of innovation and slow to market, analysts and industry watchers say.
