iPhone in Germany available without contract. Price: €1000

After being ordered by a German court to sell an unlocked iPhone, T-Mobile has gone ahead and done as requested. For a staggering €1000, or $1500, you can get a contract-free, unlocked iPhone. I wonder what sort of profit they're making on each phone at that price...

German customers who obtained Apple iPhone after the court’s ruling can have their phones unlocked to work with any other network carrier, however, many of the functions will only be available to T-Mobile clients only with the complete tariff package, the company is reported to have said.
