Asustek To Outsource Motherboards To Foxconn?

A Chinese newspaper claims that Asustek plans to outsource its own-brand motherboard production to Foxconn. Asustek currently outsources only 20-30% of motherboard production during the peak season.

Asustek Computer is planning to adjust its own-brand product outsourcing strategy after it completes the spin-off of its own-brand and contract manufacturing divisions on January 1, 2008, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily New (EDN) report, which cited the company.
