Intel Tops 1 million Mark on Quad-Cores
Intel has officially shipped over 1 million quad core Xeon 5300 chips since its launch last November.
The Xeon 5300 series, which was code-named Clovertown, has aided Intel's recovery in the server processor market by helping the company to take back business that previously was going to Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and its Opteron chips.
