Sony Warns of Losses

Sony wants to make sure its investors are prepared for the massive initial losses the company will take on the PS3 launch. This isn’t exactly unusual, most consoles always have initial losses and make it up through the generation.

After the incredible success of the PS2 and its domination of the console market, the PlayStation 3 at first seemed like a natural move for Sony. However, the road to a repeat performance has been slightly bumpier than the electronics giant anticipated.
