NVIDIA's Fermi GF100 Facts & Opinions
NVIDIA's "Fermi" next generation GF100 GPU is not here yet. Nope, we do not have hardware. But NVIDIA has given us an in-depth look at the specifics behind the architecture as it relates to gaming. NVIDIA certainly remembered us gamers and the fact that we like lots and lots of polygons.
GF100 White Paper
Below we have published a "reprint" of NVIDIA GF100 White Paper. Certainly if you wish to go through this paper, a lot of what you read will be redundant…if you read page 1 of this article. While we are a bit hesitant to publish "white papers" as we sometimes find those chock full of marketing material, we found the GF100 White Paper below to be a very good guide to GF100 abilities. While the geek factor is high with this type of information, NVIDIA did a very good job of writing this at a level where it not only will inform the computer hardware enthusiast, but also leave him better educated as to what functions the GF100 is actually supposed to be able to support in games that might end up on our desktops.
