DigiTimes, citing unnamed sources in the motherboard industry, claims that Intel has moved the mass-production schedule of its 32nm Clarksdale processors up to the fourth quarter of 2009.
Intel has brought forward the mass-production schedule of its new 32nm processor codenamed Clarkdale to the fourth quarter of 2009 from the originally planned first quarter of 2010, according to sources from motherboard makers.
Seriously, did anyone think this was going to go any other way than what it did? Of course Windows 7 preorders for $49 - $99 are going to be a hit, beats the hell out of buying it for full retail.

The Supreme Court has declined to hear arguments on whether a remote-storage DVR system violates copyright laws. That is good news for consumers, bad news for big studios and television networks.
For consumers, the action means that Cablevision and perhaps other cable system operators soon will be able to offer DVR service without need for a box in their homes. The remote storage unit exists on computer servers maintained by a cable provider.
